“If you want to know how to untie a knot, you must first discover how the knot was tied”.
– Gautama Buddha
We are here to help you step away from fear, people pleasing, and operating from your sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) and step into boundary setting, values-based behaviour patterns and operating from your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest). To find your true potential and believe that you’re worth it.
It’s a hard thing to put into words, because that key moment of change is something that is FELT. We love to watch the magic unfold throughout our courses. To see that defining moment in each person where their mind and life shifts in such a huge way that you know they’ll never be the same again. That is why we do what we do. It’s about helping others experience the transformation we have gone through and know is possible with the right guidance.
EmpowerMe was started to help survivors of trauma and abuse take control back of their lives, to further understand their healing journey and discover who they want to be in the world and how to make it happen. However, over the years it has evolved. It’s not just about trauma survivors, we help all women who want to make a change and better themselves but just don’t know where to start. We’re also busy developing courses for men too!
We have a range of different courses to meet you right where you are. The journey and delivery varies dependent on which course you choose.
The goal is to arm you with the knowledge, skills and tools to help you reach your goals and become the person you want to be. But also, to enable you to truly believe in yourself. The ultimate goal is empowerment to constantly create the life you desire.
The journey you’ll take with us will leave you feeling empowered, confident and armed with the knowledge and skills to face any adversity or challenge that might pop up. You’ll feel in control and certain how to navigate your life in the direction YOU want it to go. You’ll gain a big community of supportive people to forever bounce your queries off of, who have been on the same journey.

Hi, I’m Tamara and I’m so glad you’re here. I have battled with mental health challenges throughout my life, a result of sexual abuse which spanned across many years. On my 30th birthday, I experienced a life changing moment that hit me like a rock. Something had to change on a very deep level and I was the only one who could make it happen.
I began my journey to find meaning in my life, to figure out who I wanted to be and what I wanted my life to look like. There was so much room for improvement and bit by bit, day by day, I created the change I so desperately needed, wanted and deserved.
This path led to the birth of EmpowerMe and the work I am so passionate about. I discovered along my journey that my gift is being able to see the potential in others and enabling them to see it in themselves, which naturally allows them to grow, improve, be successful and achieve their goals and dreams. It is the most rewarding experience to witness someone blossom in this way.
I have spent many years practicing, learning and researching neuroscience, positive psychology, habit change, trauma recovery and all the healing tools beneficial to our mental and emotional wellbeing.
It’s taken me a lifetime to figure out what keeps me feeling my absolute best, and it is a daily practice to stay there. The gift I want to give is not only a safe and supportive environment for you to connect, explore and learn what feels good for you—knowing you’re not alone in your experiences—but a place where you can imagine the best you, and support you to become that. To provide a platform where women can empower themselves and each other constantly and continuously for as long as they need it.
This platform is everything that I am and everything I want to be. It’s what I wished I’d had when I did intense trauma therapy while still experiencing an uncertainty of who I was and how I fit in the world. It’s the sisterhood I always thought I didn’t deserve, the mother who never had the capacity to support me emotionally, and the community that gives me a sense of belonging and purpose.
